About Jessica Kirkpatrick: Jessica's current work is inspired by endangered species and the habitats they live in. She has always had a passion for botanicals and living creatures and so wanted to use her final year at university to create a body of work that can make a difference.Jessica's designs aim to educate people on species they may never have heard of. She wants her designs to capture people's attention and to help start conversations, whether it is asking what that unusual creature is climbing through the branches or, how the print would look as a whole in their home. Her final collection, Living Specimen, is a combination of drawing with other experimental techniques to create eye-catching interesting prints.

Favourite textile technique: Etching and Laser cutting different materials as well as continuous line drawing.

Inspirational Designers: Just a select few that I love are Poodle and Blonde, Emma J Shipley and House of Hackney.

Dream job: Either to work for a high-end print design company or having my own company producing my own print designs.
