Botanical Bloom

‘Botanical Bloom’ explores pattern and colour through repeated pattern design in the context of digitally printed interior fabrics and wallpapers for luxury homeware. A combination of detailed pencil drawings and gouache paintings were used to create motifs, alongside digital editing processes to transform these into digital prints. This collection is inspired from visual research at botanical gardens and the designs celebrate the natural world and the importance of it. The link between improved wellbeing and biophilic design is an important aspect as bringing the outdoors in can help people to connect back with nature, evoking feelings of comfort and escapism.
