Into the Dales

My Final Major is very close to my heart, based around the theme of Nature, Woodland and wildlife in and around the Yorkshire Dales National Park. With imagery taken from this beautiful and natural environment that makes the dales so special and that can be seen throughout the area. With intentions of creating a collection I love with both demonstrating the beauty of the landscapes and the nature that is found there which mixture of figurative and abstract, historical and contemporary and historical design links. My project is theoretically based around the positive effects that nature has on us a human and how this can become present through textiles design. I have created a fabric based interior collection that will bring nature into the home and highlight the effect it has on out mental health and well-being.
