Tropical Escape

The aim of my project was to produce a collection of digitally printed interior furnishing fabrics and tableware ceramics inspired by endangered plants continued from my semester one project. This was combined with architecture and scenery from Brazil and Indonesia, creating the feeling of escapism. A large focus for my project was around colour psychology and its importance within interiors, as more people have been working from home during the pandemic the colours that surround us have a huge impact on our overall mood and emotions. I have incorporated this into my designs by looking at both places as colour inspiration. Indonesia known for retreats and relaxing scenery and Brazil for vibrant markets and cities.
