About Rachel: Rachel uses a combination of expressive and whimsical drawing styles to project a child-like energy and distorted perspective of the world onto fabric.Inspired by her experience running art workshops for kids and her memories of the endless imagination she had as a child growing up in Ireland, Rachel tries to create a sense of wonder through her designs, encouraging people to reconnect with their own inner-child.  Rachel's work often balances colourful and playful imagery with slightly twisted and humorous illustrations. She finds working expressively at a large scale very effective and therapeutic, as well as smaller scale doodles. Animating her designs and bringing them to life is another medium that excites her. For her recent collection 'Never Grow Up.. Always Down', Rachel has experimented with a combination of digital and screen printing techniques onto a range of fabric and re-purposed garments to produce her zestful designs.

Favourite textile technique: I never stick to just one technique and I'm forever experimenting! I really enjoy combining digital print with screen print, sometimes working directly onto re-used garments.

Inspirational Designers: My absolute favourites are Shrimps, Louise Gray, Quentin Blake and Typical Freaks.

Dream job: Ultimately I would love to have my own label or work for a reputable brand. Hopefully contributing some fun and sustainable designs to the costume/fashion industry!
