About Georgia Hill:Georgia's work crosses the boundaries of different disciplines and she experiments with unpredictable fabrics. In her degree collection, Power Play, she has manipulated textiles using elastic to change their form, adding folds to create structured movement and adding circular constructed frames into knitted fabrics. All these design elements create simplistic structures that complement the shape of the body. Georgia has found that life has become so fast paced and because of this we have lost our sense of connection, balance and emotional attachment with our products. Enhancing comfort, pleasure and emotional durability through her work, she aims to combat the growing disconnection we have with the things we buy, in order to minimalise need to consume.Colour and aesthetic are the two most important design aspects in Georgia's work. She creates a positive mood-boosting energy from visual and physical forms of her work. Georgia is passionate in creating a playful tactile textile collection and continues to gain confidence in her work and develop her knowledge in designing for the future.

Favourite textile technique: knitting - padded techniques and two tone cardigan knit.

Inspirational Designers: All artists and designer inspire me in some way, but if I had to choose a hand full it would be: Byborre, Craig Green, @julienrivoire, @rikoostenbroek, Stone Island and Lucy McRae.

Dream job: Sports Visual Merchandising or knitwear designer.
